Loyalty Programs |
 |
|
|
Rewarding loyal guests and
players is a core strategy in the hospitality and gaming industry to
ensure customer retention. Countless dollars have been invested in
loyalty programs and systems that track customer spending, behavior,
interests and general information that can be used for marketing
purposes. These programs are usually measured on how well they satisfy
the needs of the business, but what about the guest? The need to connect
guests and players to their own data is key to the perceived value of
the program itself. This is typically where the hospitality and gaming
industry has run into challenges. |

With the primary guest/player
information stored on the server in multiple databases, easily
exposing the customer to the data is difficult. The most common solution
has been adding an additional server between the back-end database
server and the
customer facing technology (website, kiosk, etc.), and replicating the
data to that server. The problem with this solution is that there is
immediate latency built in to the architecture, which can result in out
of sync information for guests. It is not uncommon to have customers
question their balances, because what they see on the slot machine does
not appear to mesh with what is available on the website or the kiosk. |

The Solution |

|
Pacific Management Group along with their
partner ADVANCED BusinessLink offer a unique suite of middleware tools
and technologies, geared specifically towards real time connectivity of
systems for the hospitality and gaming industry.
By placing a WebCluster Agent™ on the
kiosk or website server, they connect directly to the back-end server in real
time providing access to information via APIs, using HSM (high speed
messaging). There are several benefits to this approach.. |
